What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that occurs naturally throughout the human body and respectively in the skin and connective tissue. It has an important function as a moisturizer and can be described as “nature’s moisturizer”.
What are the benefits for skin?
Because of its unique ability to bind water, hyaluronic acid helps to give the skin its shape and volume. It has an important function as a moisturizer, volume provider and lubricant in the skin, joint fluid and eyes.
Unfortunately the hyaluronic acid absorption by the body starts at the age of 18 years. At the age of 25, the first age markers become visible. With 40 years we have only 50% of the original amount of hyaluronic acid in the skin. As a result the face loses its volume and elasticity.
What can we do?
There is a way to stop aging process – the wrinkle injections with hyaluronic acid. By reducing wrinkles, hyaluronic acid fillers make the skin look younger and attractive.Depending on personal needs there are different types of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers:
- Hyaluronica® 1 is a long-lasting, non-permanent dermal filler that spreads slowly into the skin to achieve a smooth and natural look. Ideal to treat earlier signs of skin aging, peri oral wrinkles and remodel lip contours.
- Hyaluronica® 2 is a long-lasting, non-permanent dermal filler recommended to treat mid to deep wrinkles, such as marionette lines and nasolabial wrinkles and add cheekbones volume. Excellent solution for natural looking lip augmentation.
- Hyaluronica® 3 is a high cross-linked gel, designed to increase and/or restore face volume, remodel facial contours and skin deformations.
- Hyaluronica® Mesolift is specially designed to retain moisture and keep skin hydration for a prolonged period. It improves skin density and elasticity and is ideal to treat small lines like crow’s feet, smile or smoke lines alongside the lips. It gives an overall natural rejuvenated appearance of skin and prolongs the effect of derma-fill procedures.
Is it safe?
Aesthetic procedures with dermal fillers on a hyaluronic acid base are considered the most safe and non-invasive for the skin. When prescribed by a properly qualified and trained specialist and performed with an appropriate injection technique, certified dermal fillers are considered completely safe.
With its outstanding properties for cosmetic wrinkle filling and skincare, hyaluronic acid has come to be very popular with dermatologists, aesthetic practitioners, plastic surgeons and skin therapists across the world.
